Malaysia My Second Home Program:

Malaysia: My Second Home" program is to allow people from all over the world, who fulfill certain criteria, to stay in Malaysia as long as possible on a social visit pass with multiple entry visa. The Social Visit Pass is initially for a period of 10 years and renewable.

Approval Criteria

(Updated to new program requirements as of 19 May 2006)

 

  • Medical Insurance valid in Malaysia

    Applicants must possess a valid medical insurance policy from any insurance company that will cover your medical expenses during your time in Malaysia. We can assist you to obtain this after your application is approved.

     

  • Medical Examination

    Applicants are required to complete a medical examination at any private hospital in Malaysia. We will assist you to arrange the exam after approval.

 

  • Meeting the Financial Requirements

The fixed deposit, if required, can be made at any financial institution in Malaysia, including foreign banks with local branches in Malaysia. The fixed deposit must remain intact in accordance with the rules of the program.

 

 

The current monthly income must be income derived outside of Malaysia from document able sources. Income from salary, deposit interest, rental and pension/retirement funds can be applied as long they can be proven from tax statements, company certified letters or other certified sources.

OTHER CONDITIONS  

Having a reputable sponsor is a must.

To have a medical report from any recognized hospital. A medical health insurance valid in Malaysia. The successful applicant cannot seek gainful employment in Malaysia unless he possess special expertise and obtains the  permission of the Malaysian government. An applicant can do a business or purchase or rent property in Malaysia. An applicant may accompany his wife, children (under 17 years) and a maid.

Schooling

Applicants who wish to bring along dependents who are schooling are required to apply for a Student Pass for the dependents) to enroll in schools or institutions of higher learning recognized by the government.
